Yes, that's indeed what I'll be asking should a job interview that I have on Monday afternoon go well.

It'll be at the stately Merivale McDonald's.



It's one of the nicer McDonald's restaurants in the Ottawa area, and the nicest in Nepean, certainly. For someone who still thinks in Montreal terms, the Merivale McDonald's is almost like a mix of the looks of the Pointe-Claire McDonald's¹, though with a green roof instead of a blue one, with the atmosphere of the Beaconsfield McDonald's, and I don't mean that in a negative or sarcastic way, I really do rank McDonald's in my head.

I know, it's not exactly where I planned to be working at age 31, but one of my problems is that I didn't plan my future out too well a decade ago, and working at McDonald's is still a step up from working at... nothing.

And I'm an unabashed fan of McDonald's food, despite how unfashionable it is to admit it these days, so I certainly do not have a Morgan Spurlock attitude about the place.

¹ The McDonald's two blocks north of Fairview on Saint John's... yes, I know, technically, it's in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, but it's at the corner of Devon, which is the border between Pointe Claire and Dollard.
